Connecticut Superintendents’ Network

Collaboration and shared learning have long exemplified the core of the Superintendents’ Network, an executive community of practice and one of the oldest existing networks designed to support sitting superintendents. The Superintendents’ Network is co-designed and co-facilitated by its two dozen members and Partners’ staff. Over the course of its fifteen plus years, the Network has been singular in its aim – to support superintendents in developing the knowledge and skills to lead large-scale instructional improvement.

The Superintendent Networks’ practice includes the disciplined interrogation of problems of practice and instructional rounds. In this network, superintendents meet monthly, alternating between instructional rounds visits to schools and professional learning sessions on how to lead organizational improvement. In the spring, members participate in an intensive leadership institute designed collaboratively with Harvard University.
