Tisha Markette

Program Coordinator

Tisha Markette joined Partners in 2022. Prior to working with Partners, Tisha served as Chief Academic and Equity Officer for a turnaround charter school organization in Massachusetts, where she developed and supervised the leadership training programs and instructional programming across the districts.  She began her career as an elementary school teacher and has over 27 years of experience in education. Tisha was the founding principal of Amistad Elementary School in New Haven. Tisha was also a national literacy consultant for over 15 years, who trained hundreds of teachers, coaches and leaders and helped schools to drastically improve student literacy outcomes.  As the Director of the Residency Program for School Leadership, an alternative route to principal certification, Tisha trained and coached first and second year principals in CT.  Throughout her career, Tisha has worked to build teacher and leader capacity that leads to equitable student outcomes for all children.  Tisha holds a Bachelors in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University, a Masters in Education from Sacred Heart University and a 6th year in Educational Leadership from the University of Connecticut.
