Andrew is a continuous improvement (CI) strategist and learning facilitator. Andrew’s work integrates approaches from improvement science, liberatory design and mixed-methods program evaluation to support educators learning to build more effective, equitable systems. Building on academic training and professional experience in quantitative and qualitative program evaluation, over the past 15 years Andrew has studied and applied methods of continuous improvement to empower educators across a rich variety of organizational contexts. Prior to joining the team at Partners for Educational Leadership, Andrew was the Principal Associate for Continuous Improvement at the Rennie Center in Boston. In this role, he led CI strategy, facilitation and analysis for the Teach Plus Chicago Network for School Improvement (NSI), one of a cohort of grantees funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to implement networked continuous improvement in schools across the country. Along with Teach Plus, Andrew has studied, advised and led networked improvement projects with the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, American Institutes for Research (AIR), Partners in School Innovation, Teaching Matters, and a diverse range of school and district teams across Massachusetts and Connecticut. Andrew holds BAs in Psychology and English from the University of California, Santa Barbara, an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and an MA in Education Policy & Program Evaluation from Harvard University.
